Over ExtractionPower

Every 100 Power over = 2% + to Base Succes Rate

Indeed, having more power than is actually needed for extraction on a specific Moon increases the chances of success for your Colony. For every 100 units of power over the required amount, there is a 2% increase in the extraction chance.

By exceeding the minimum power requirement, you can improve the probability of successfully extracting resources from the current Moon. This allows you to maximize your extraction potential and increase the overall success rate of your Colony's extraction operations.

However, it's important to note that there is a success cap for each Moon. Once the success cap is reached, further increases in power will not provide additional extraction chances beyond that limit.
